Taşlık Beach is uniquely sheltered and adjacent to a pond filled with thermal spring water, which flows into the sea. This keeps the seawater temperature signicantly higher than in other regions during winter. The surrounding hills protect the beach from strong winds, creating a calm, poollike swimming environment.

About Taşlık Beach
Taşlık Beach is uniquely sheltered and adjacent to a pond filled with thermal spring water, which flows into the sea. REGISTRATION
Registrations are completed through the registration link on www.kisyuzmemaratonu.org.
• Participants will receive a swim cap, a hoodie and a drawstring bag upon registration.
• Participants who complete the race will also receive a towel.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Open to participants aged 14–79:
• Option 1 (for Turkish participants): A valid swimming license or a medical
certicate (issued within a month before the race) conrming there are no restrictions for swimming.
• Option 2 (for foreign participants): A signed consent form declaring that the
participant has no medical or health issues that would prevent them from swimming. This form will serve as an alternative to a medical certicate or swimming license.
• Parental consent form for participants under 18 (Annex-1).
• Bring hard copies of all the documents submitted during the online registration process with you. Only those who provide these documents will be eligible to participate in the races.

COMPETITION RULES
1. Regulations
◦ The Turkish Swimming Federation’s Open Water Swimming Competition
Instructions will be applied during the event.
2. Warm-up Period
◦ Participants may warm up in the designated area assigned by the Chief Referee(s)
until 30 minutes before the start of the competitions.
3. Required Equipment
◦ Participants must wear the swim caps and timing chips provided by the
organizers.
◦ The use of any swimming aids, such as neoprene swimsuits, hand paddles, ns,
ippers, snorkels, or similar equipment, is strictly prohibited. *Neopren mayolar
◦ Additional prohibited items include cameras, watches, jewelry, and other gadgets.
◦ Participants found using any of these aids or items will be disqualied.
4. Mandatory Wetsuit
◦ If the water temperature on race day falls below the level specied by World
Aquatics for wetsuit use, participants will be required to wear a wetsuit.
5. Race Course and Start Signal
◦ The Winter Swimming Marathon will be conducted as per the specied race
courses.
◦ The race start signal times will be determined and announced following the
Technical Meeting.
6. Time Limits
◦ The maximum allowed time to complete the 1500m race is 60 minutes, and for
the 5000m race, it is 150 minutes.
◦ Participants who fail to complete their races within these time limits will be
escorted out of the water by boats.
7. Health and Safety Protocols
◦ If a participant feels unwell, they must immediately inform the nearest boats
about their condition.
◦ Referees have the authority to exclude participants from the race if deemed unt
to continue for physiological or psychological reasons. Such participants will be
brought back to the beach by boat.
8. Prohibited Support
◦ Participants receiving support from boats, oating objects, or any external
assistance during the race will be disqualied.
9. Sportsmanship
◦ Any swimmer engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct or deliberately obstructing
other swimmers will be disqualied.
10. Referees’ Role
◦ Referees will monitor the swimmers from accompanying boats and provide
warnings in case of any issues related to the designated course.
◦ Participants who do not comply with referee warnings or fail to follow the rules
will be disqualied.
11. Timing Chips
◦ Timing chips distributed during registration are personalized.
◦ Participants wearing chips assigned to someone else will be disqualied.
12. Results Evaluation
◦ Results will be evaluated and announced separately for men and women
categories.
13. Objections and Appeals
◦ Objections to race results must be submitted in writing to the Chief Referee
within 30 minutes following the end of the race.
◦ The objection must be accompanied by a fee of 3000 TL (Three Thousand
Turkish Liras).
14. Organizational Committee Authority
◦ The Organizational Committee reserves the right to make changes, cancellations,
or adjustments to any aspect of the event (e.g., dates, times, race courses, etc.).

AWARDS
• No cash or monetary prizes will be given.
• All nishers will receive a participation certicate and medal.
• Participants who do not nish will only receive a certicate.
• Medals will be awarded for top 3 placements in each age category for both distances.
• General classication medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female nishers for each distance.
